A little trip to the middle of nowhere
While I was out in the middle of nowhere we shot shotguns! It was my first time ever. Again, can't explain the feeling so I have to show you!

Take two... Let's try this again!
I don't fail. I may quite often but I don't think I have ever failed anything in my life. I always try my hardest and in the end that was enough. Well not this time. I flew 4 hours North to upstate New york to take my skills test for nursing school. I felt well prepared but was so nervous I couldn't sleep or eat all weekend. This test is the kind of test if you mess up twice you fail. I messed up once and felt ok, I can do this no biggie. BUT than I messed up again. And I CRIED and CRIED. I was in shock. I never fail, especially in nursing school. I have always prided myself for being an excellent nursing student. BUT from this SAD, TERRIBLE, experience I have learned so many thing. **this is the only way I can keep positive and not cry***
1. Its not the end of the world. I can take it again.
2. I learned so many nursing skills that will forever help me.
3. I learned to control my nerves and work under stress
4. I am humbled
5. I have so much more to learn in the nursing world
6. I am only a failure if I let this experience stop me from getting my RN in the end
7. I am not going to get pregnant as my cop out excuse. That was my first thought.. oh well just pregnant.. pathetic I know!
8. I can look forward or dwell on the past. I chose to look forward
9. I am not unique.. a lot of students fail and I mean A LOT.
10. I am grateful to have a husband who comforted me and told me he is still proud of me and loves me unconditionally.
11. I can only learn from my mistakes. Life is full bumps and mountains and you just have to go over them and move on.
12. I will better prepared next time and WILL PASS!!!
NOW after this little fiasco I am going to go get a big fat juicy BURGER!!
While at the burger joint I was talking to the owner about the town and New Jersey and he asked why I was in town. I told him for a nursing test but I failed. After he gave me my burger and checked on me to see how it was he came over with a cup of ice cream. He said I hope this makes you feel better! I was so touched. He literally made my day better. It was so kind and thoughtful. I will never forget his act of kindness.
